Courtney Nicol, RMT

Hello, I am Courtney and I graduated from the Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies (Regina) in 2012. I subsequently passed the MTAS exams and began my career as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).

I have been practicing for the past 6 years and am in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Saskatchewan.

My love with massage therapy began when I was 14 years old through my experience as a member of Team Sask Field Hockey. As an athlete, our bodies were pushed to the limits during training and games and I needed some sort of therapy to help me feel better. After receiving my first massage I immediately felt better … and was inspired! I knew from that moment that I wanted to become a massage therapist and help other people feel the same way I did. My experience with field hockey, along with my many years of Ukrainian dancing and being a member of the 2010 High School Provincial Dance & Cheer Champions has provided me with a greater understanding of human anatomy and the risks that come with repetitive sports injuries.

My professional development continues. I have completed courses in Pre and Post Sports Massage Therapy, Myofascial Release, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and Myofascial Cupping.

I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend McMaster University in Hamilton as part of my continuing education. The Medical Acupuncture Program has been around since 1998 and since then, over 3000 professionals from over 20 different countries have benefited from this high quality program. Health care professionals who acquire the knowledge and skills from this program will increase their abilities to effectively treat musculoskeletal pain and movement disorders, sports injuries, functional problems, headaches, stress-related disorders, chronic pain, etc.

My passion is preventative massage therapy. I am committed to ensuring that each treatment is individually tailored to the client’s specific requests and needs.
